John joined Howard in business within a year of the firm’s founding and was instrumental in growing the new company. 

In March 2001 he moved from Johannesburg to open a branch of Betts & Townsend in Durban where he is still based. John provides a strong technical role to the business and has been instrumental in supporting projects both in South Africa and internationally. 

Having graduated from WITS University with a BSc in Building Science in 1989, John has a wealth of experience in the construction project management industry and is widely respected amongst both developers and professionals in South Africa. John is a registered professional member of the SACPCMP and the South African Council of Shopping Centres.
