Betts Townsend is proud to have been the principal agent and joint project  manager,  together  with  Abacus  Asset  Management,  for Baywest Mall. The mall forms the centerpiece of Baywest City  a massive new mixed use development in Port Elizabeth. The entire precinct  is  being  developed  by  Billion  Group  and Abacus Asset Management in joint venture, and will create over 6,000 permanent jobs in the area.

The sheer size of the building and the various technical, logistical and  environmental  aspects  have  all  combined  to  make  this  a particularly challenging project. Nevertheless, the team has kept up with the construction programme and completion was on time.
